Public Sector Equality Duty
As a public authority, The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ has due regard to the need to:
- Eliminate unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation and other conduct prohibited by the Equality Act 2010;
- Advance equality of opportunity between people who share a protected characteristic and those who do not;
- Foster good relations between people who share a protected characteristic and those who do not.
The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ publishes information to demonstrate its compliance with the general equality duty through an annual report, including information on its employees and those affected by its policies and practices. The annual report on the 2023/24 year is provided below.
For 2024/25, The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ has identified a number of objectives to help achieve its equality obligations. These are reflected in the 2023/24 report.
